Samsung is still in the smartphone-making business and as we await the release of the Galaxy S23 series, the company is also preparing to launch its best-selling mid-range phones. A Geekbench listing has revealed some of the key specs of the Galaxy A54 showing its chipset, RAM size, software, and model number.
For those unaware, the Samsung Galaxy A54 will be the successor to the previously released Samsung Galaxy A53. Although we’re yet to get live images of the phone, e now have a clue about the specs of the phone thanks to Geekbench.

The Samsung phone spotted on Geekbench has the model number “samsung SM-A54B” which assume will be the base model of the Galaxy A54. According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy A54 will come with 6GB of RAM and boot Android 13 out of the box.
The listing also shows that the phone might feature the Exynos 1380 5G chipset. This chipset has an Octa-core CPU with a base frequency of 2.00 GHz. The CPU architecture will have two clusters with Cluster 1 having 4 cores with a speed of 2.00 GHz and cluster 2 also having 4 cores but with a speed of 2.4 GHz.

According to the Geekbench score, the chipset of the phone has a single-core score of 776 and a multi-core score of 2599. This is better than the single and multi-core score of the Exynos 1280 5G chipset used in the Galaxy A53 but still below the scores of chipsets used in the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, iQOO Neo 7 SE, Realme 10 Pro+, and OPPO Reno 9 Pro.
At a time when lots of Chinese phone makers are equipping their mid-range phones with 12GB of RAM, it’s kind of disappointing that Samsung is putting 6GB RAM in its best-selling mid-range phone. But, as stated above, we expect this to be the base model and maybe there’ll be models with 8GB and 12GB of RAM.
More details, image renders, and live photos of the Galaxy A54 will be revealed in the coming weeks. So, don’t forget to bookmark this page for more updates. You should also check out our Best Deal category to get coupons and update on smartphone deals.
